FRESH FLOWER CSA (SUBSCRIPTION) AVAILABLE FROM SHADY GROVE GARDENS & NURSERY


This summer Shady Grove Gardens will be offering a subscription to their best fresh flower bouquets. Bouquets to be transported home in their buckets will be delivered to the Wednesday Watauga County Farmers? Market in Boone.
This is everyones chance to get fresh locally grown flowers without pesticides and without getting up early on Saturday morning. Members will get $25?s worth of flowers for 10, 15 or 20 weeks. The late season bouquets will include orange and red winterberry holly for the holidays.?
These seasonal flowers will be different each week as they are all grown outdoors in Ashe and Watauga counties. Since 1986 Shady Grove Gardens has produced perennials and cutflowers without using any inorganic pesticides or herbicides.? Subscription member will be invited to join Susan Wright and Brent Cochran for a fun farm tour, to see where their flowers are grown and learn a little more about flower farming.

Shady Grove Gardens & Nursery is now offering:
A Membership Subscription to our Fresh, Locally Grown Cut Flowers?
This is our first year offering a CSA (community supported agriculture) of locally grown fresh flower bouquets.? Each week you will receive a mixed bouquet of our Best flowers, it will usually include a mix of three types of flowers and some special flowers. With proper care the bouquets will last 6-7 days, some longer. You may order 10, 15 or 20 consecutive weeks of bouquets. Each bouquet will be a $25 value. Your price will be $20. We supply packets of floral preservative for those that wish to use it. Fresh Flowers are delivered in our standard buckets to be switched out each week. The Pickup site is Wednesday at the Watauga County Farmers? Market at the Horn in the West Park, 8-12 PM The CSA starts June 11th and ends October 15th except for the last bouquet in November. The Last pickup will be Saturday November 29th at the Thanksgiving Market. These will be Red Holly berries that will last through Christmas. These are Winterberry Holly. October bouquets will include grasses, grains, dried flowers and orange holly berries for Halloween & Thanksgiving. I agree to Pick-up your bucket of flowers every Wednesday at the Watauga County Farmers Market between 8 and 12AM or send a friend to do so. I also agree to bring the bucket back each week to be switched out with another clean bucket of fresh mountain grown flowers.
